Known as a Climber’s Paradise, Skardu Valley is a hub for trekking to the four highest peaks in the world; Gasherbrum-I, Gasherbrum-II, Broadpeak, and K-2.
Skardu was historically a part of the state of Jammu and Kashmir before the partition of British India in 1947. However, currently, Skardu is located in the Gilgit-Baltistan region, which is a separate administrative entity within Pakistan.
