Ciletuh – Palabuhanratu Geopark is located in Sukabumi Regency, West Java Province with an area of approximately 128 thousand hectares spread across 8 sub-districts in 74 villages. Located about 37 km from the capital city of Pelabuhanratu, Sukabumi Regency, Ciletuh Geopark takes about 4 to 5 hours from the city of Jakarta.
The topography of the Ciletuh Geopark Sukabumi area is quite varied, including mountains, hills, lowlands, Ciletuh bay and the coast of the Indian Ocean. No wonder that Geopark Ciletuh Sukabumi offers several popular tourist destination spots.
The Ciletuh – Palabuhanratu Geopark was recognized by UNESCO in 2015 as an Indonesian National Geopark and then proposed and became part of the International Geopark or Global Geopark Network (GGN) by UNESCO in 2018.
